Law Enforcement Exploring Program

About the Exploring Program
The Law Enforcement Exploring program is sponsored by multiple law enforcement agencies throughout San Diego and Imperial Counties in cooperation with Learning for Life. Through direct interaction with working field officers, supervisors and support staff, a young person is motivated to expand their interest in the profession of law enforcement as a career. The purpose of the program is to have interested and responsible young men and women explore all aspects of modern law enforcement.

Exploring is a work-site based career exploration program that offers youth the opportunity to work with community organizations on a continuous basis, thus gaining valuable insights into a variety of careers. The Council's Explorer Posts link young adults with organizations such as law enforcement, firefighting, border patrol, health and skilled trades.
